Hansel McClane started Furnival in 2012 with the main mission of reducing abandoned animals and increasing awareness of becoming a responsible pet owner. Hans grew up in a farm in Kansas and his parents always taught him the importance of treating animals well.
Hans grew up with all kinds of dogs that would help his family manage the farm. His family owned a German Shepherd, Border Collie, and a Golden Retriever. He loved all of them to bits. He was sad to find out how many other families would abandon their dogs or put them up for rehoming because their owners thought they were unmanageable. After meeting a couple of these poor fur balls, they were just misunderstood.
Families would take them in without knowing what it exactly meant to have a pet. It was then when he decided to offer free classes and seminars for future pet owners. He found other individuals who wanted to join the cause.
It was 2010 when they realized that they barely made a dent and they had to go bigger to try to make a difference. Everyone wanted a cute pet but did not bother to understand what it meant.
That's when they decided to put up Furnival. Since then they have been doing their absolute best to bring a better future for our fur-babies.
